My own journey into running ultras has been full of uncertainty: Am I training enough? Am I doing too much? What happens if I miss a run? How do I fit all the things in?
I’ve gone all in, only to feel overwhelmed, burned out, or unsure if I was even on the right path.
Over time, I’ve learned that training isn’t about doing more—it’s about doing the right things, in a way that works with your life. Now, I focus on strategic effort and consistent progress.
Because here’s the truth: Your training needs to fit into your life, not the other way around. It has to be realistic—something you can stick with even on your busiest days. It has to challenge you enough to get stronger and faster, but not so much that you burn out.

Ongoing communication with me between calls via email or text to make sure when the shit hits the fan, we can work together to troubleshoot and when things go amazing, we can celebrate. This is especially helpful as you are building your plan and figuring out how your schedule works.

Hi, I’m Brittany Olson creator of TrailblazeHER.
All my life, I’ve been an athlete. As a kid, I just played sports—no schedule, no pressure, just pure fun. But as I got older, my playground got bigger, and things got a lot more complicated. Suddenly, it wasn’t just about running around and having fun. It was about balancing work, life, and my training (and trying not to burn out). And that’s when the real challenge began.
I know what it’s like to try and juggle it all—trail running, strength training, work, life—you name it. When I first started running trails, I thought I could handle everything. But even after 13 years of consistent strength training, I found myself cutting corners. Not because I didn’t care, but because I was stuck in that relentless grind: always busy, always pushing, no time to breathe—or plan for what I needed.
It didn’t take long for my body to remind me that wasn’t sustainable. I was constantly exhausted. Without the strength training I relied on, my recovery dragged, my endurance suffered, and running started feeling like a chore instead of a passion. I found myself frustrated and burnt out, tired of starting over again and again because I wasn’t putting myself first. I realized I needed to make a change—not just for my running but for my sanity.
Setting boundaries and learning to manage my time in a way that prioritized me didn’t happen overnight, but it made all the difference. That’s why I created TrailblazeHER: to help women like you who feel stuck in the grind and want to finally find balance.
I’ve been there, and I get it. It’s hard to say no to things that don’t serve you. It’s hard to make a plan when life feels chaotic. But here’s the truth: you can run strong, feel energized, and stop spinning your wheels. You don’t have to keep starting over, and you don’t have to do it alone.

We will meet weekly* for 8 weeks starting Tuesday, April 8 at 4 PM MST (1 PM EST) via Zoom calls. I will send out reminder emails with the Zoom link but I encourage you to mark your calendars too.
These calls will last 1.5 - 2 hours as I will be teaching and I will be on the call until every singe question is answered. We will be building your plan together so I’m here for as long as it takes.
You will have access to me outside of the calls so you can have al your questions answered throughout the the 8 weeks via text, email and the private Facebook community.
*Note: We will not be meeting May 6.

This program is to help you learn how the 4 M’s will help you keep showing up for yourself and not have to start all over…again. In order to make this work you will need to make the effort to make the change. Take ownership in your time to do the workouts, learn to choose proper food options and show up to the live sessions or watch the recordings. Engage, ask questions or ask for help when faced with challenges. That’s why we have live time together and the Facebook group.

You will need Internet access via computer and phone. We will have our calls through Zoom.
You will also be downloading a FREE fitness app (Final Surge) which I will invite you to be on the TrailblazeHER team. You will input your running and strength plan into this app (don’t worry, I will show you how it works).
And if you’re a note taker like me, you will want to have a pen and notebook ready or use the notes app on your phone/computer. I also recommend having a planner (paper or electronic) as we will dive into how training will fit into your unique life.

Everyone will start with an example 50k running plan which we will work through to adjust it for YOU. This will be a great starting point and, once you’ve completed TrailblazeHER, it sure as heck will match your life.
You will also receive strength and mobility workouts specific for runners. All workouts are delivered via easy to follow pdfs with accompanying video tutorials for every workout with extensive verbal cues. Plus, you get lifetime access!

I’m not promising you will finish a 50k in these 8 weeks together. But I am setting you up to fall in love with the process and make those small changes so you will leave TrailblazeHER knowing REALISTICALLY you are going to level up your distance. And also knowing how to be consistent with your training even when shit goes upside down.
So many programs offer quick fixes but they aren’t permanent. I’m offering this Intro to the 4 Ms of Blueprint so you will have the tools to build sustainable habits and keep that momentum going.
On top of that, you will walk away with strength and mobility workouts that you will ALWAYS have access to as well as a running plan to make sure you stay on track (and know how to make adjustments for our busy lives).
